SANDAKAN: Some residents here are not cooperating with health officers carrying out dengue-control activities in the district, said Sandakan Health Officer, Dr Johari Awang Besar.

He said some refused to open their doors while some allowed their pets to wander around their house compounds.

“Vacant or long-abandoned house are among factors that contribute to breeding ground for aedes mosquitoes,” he said.
