Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will be providing a one-off RM200 cash aid to all hawkers in various markets and tamu grounds under City Hall (DBKK).

Mayor Datuk Nordin Siman said DBKK will distribute the aid to those who operate at the following areas:

(1) Daily Market (Pasar Harian) – Central Plaza Kepayan, Segama Bridge, Kinamout, Manggatal, Taman Foh Sang, Taman Kemajuan Likas, Taman Sinar Baru, Taman Tun Fuad, Telipok, Kepayan, Lido, Koperasi Pembangunan Desa, Inanam and Tanjung Aru.

(2) Night Market (Pasar Malam) – Foh Sang, Inanam, Kampung Air, Kepayan Rumah Murah, Kingfisher, Manggatal, Putera Jaya Telipok, Segama, Sembulan, Sunny Supermarket Tanjung Aru, Sinsuran and Sabah Fish Marketing (Safma).

(3) Handicraft Stall – Sinsuran.

(4) 9/10 Farmer’s Market (Tamu) – Telipok, Manggatal and Inanam.

(5) Weekly Market (Pasar Mingguan) – Foh Sang, Gaya Square, Gaya Street, Kampung Air, Manggatal, Sacred Heart, Asia City and Taman Putera Jaya.

(6) Markets in buildings (Pasar Bangunan) – Kota Kinabalu, Inanam, Manggatal, Sembulan and Telipok.

(7) Temporary Hawker (Penjaja Sementera) – Api Api Night Market, Pantai Tanjung Aru and Tanjung Lipat

(8) Tobacco Kiosk (Kiosk Tembakau) – Inanam and Kolombong.

Hawkers are urged to contact Nor Hafizah at 012-7202382 or 088-521737, Deana Dopunge at 014-8523018 or 088-521727 or Mohd Johan at 014-9541523 or 088-521727 from 8am to 5pm for check and verification.

“Please present a copy of licence or latest licence payment receipt, identification card and bank account details via WhatsApp for the purpose of payment,” said Nordin, adding that there is no need to be present at the DBKK office.

He said the deadline is on April 7.
