KOTA KINABALU: Two Sabah health workers at Ranau and Tawau Hospitals have been infected with Covid-19, Health authorities said Thursday.

They are among eight more health workers announced to have been infected with Covid-19, bringing the total to 80 as of Thursday morning, the Ministry of Health said.

Initial investigation showed the infections did not occur during handling of positive patients at the government's health facilities, said the Ministry.

The Ministry gave the following breakdown of positive health worker cases:

Teluk Intan Hospital - 39

Selayang Hospital - 5

Raja Perempuan Zainab Hospital II - 4

Seri Manjung Hospital - 3

Tuanku Jaafar Hospital, Seremban - 3

Shah Alam Hospital -2

There is one case each at 24 other health facilities, added the Ministry.
