KOTA KINABALU: Hundreds of Filipinos have been fleeing Sabah through unofficial channels and some have been detained by the authorities in Southern Mindanao.

However, it was not known whether they were fleeing Sabah due to reports of rising Covid-19 cases or for fear of being found out at roadblocks by the police and lately army while implementing the Movement Command Order (MCO) from March 18 until 31, or both.
